WRESTLING HISTORY
Deceased Pro Wrestlers

Comments / Add a name to the deceased wrestlers list

Help keep the list as complete as possible with as many details as you know. It may take a while before names are added to the list, but I keep all the information you send. I update the list whenever I can make the time, and I try to confirm the information I receive.

I often get questions of the form "Is Joe Blow still alive?" If he's not on the list, it means I don't have any information about him being dead. And, no, I'm afraid I don't know what he's doing now or how you can contact him.

I don't collect videos, so I have no idea where you can get tapes with any of these or any other wrestlers. You can try WrestlingClassics.com, John McAdam, PM Film & Video, or RF Video.

I'm looking for information on [wrestler], can you help?
I'm afraid not. Whatever information I have in digital form is on the site and I don't have the time to search through the stacks of papers in my (non-digitized) archives. I'm sorry I can't be of more help than that.

You may get a good response if you post your request on the Wrestling Classics message board.

My best suggestion is to use this search engine to look through the online archives of J Michael Kenyon's WAWLI newsletter and Scott Teal's Whatever Happened To...?" site.

For better results, put the wrestler's name in quotes, e.g. "Lou Thesz" instead of Lou Thesz.

How did [wrestler] die?
You might find the answer at Scott Teal's wRESTle in Peace. I don't keep records of those details.

Where can I get videotapes of [wrestler]?
I'm not a tape collector, so I don't know from personal experience the best places to get them. You can try Wrestling Classics, John McAdam, PM Film & Video, and RF Video, all of which sell tapes of old matches.

Where can I get a picture of [wrestler]?
Beats me. Try a search on the Web, but unless he was a major star, you're probably out of luck.

When are you going to add a bio of [wrestler] to the Canadian Pro Wrestling Page of Fame?
I have no plans to do so at the moment. Whenever I get the time and the Page of Fame comes near the top of the priority list -- which may be months or years from now.
