Ron Garvin
Real name: Roger Barnes
From Montreal. NWA World champion in 1987, defeating Ric Flair. Began
wrestling while still in his teens in the early 60s. Wrestled as a brother
act with fellow Quebec wrestler Terry Garvin
in the mid-60s and 70s and was particularly successful in the Southern U.S.
Stepfather of wrestler Jimmy Garvin of the Fabulous Freebirds, although
they were often billed as brothers.
Known as "Hands of Stone" and the "One Man Gang" (not to be confused with
the wrestler with that name).
